Wildtype Drones is the brand of Joshua Locsin, an FPV pilot, builder, and software developer based in Arizona. Founded in 2016, Wildtype has grown from a drone cinematography company into a full pilot identity — competitive racing, content creation, and now tools built for the FPV community.

Joshua is a 3x MLDR Grand Prix Champion, Top 50 FPV pilot globally, and MultiGP ranked competitor with 54+ podiums across racing circuits. He holds his FAA Part 107 certification and has maintained a perfect safety record across six years of commercial and competitive flying.

His cinematography work spans action and motor sports — X Games BMX competitors, professional mountain bikers, downhill longboarders, Formula Drift drivers, and commercial clients including McDonalds. Every project is shot FPV, putting the audience inside the action.

In 2026, Joshua released RateFinder — a free desktop tool that analyzes pilot stick inputs and recommends personalized Actual/Betaflight rates. Built from years of competitive flying and frustration with generic rate presets, RateFinder is the first tool of its kind to watch how a pilot actually flies before making a recommendation.
